Zwilling Miyabi 4000 FC Nakiri knife, 17 cm
The Japanese Miyabi 4000 FC knives invite you to explore the traditional art of knifemaking. Beauty and sharpness unite every kitchen knife in the Miyabi 4000 FC series, including the Nakiri knife with a blade length of 17 cm. Extremely sharp blade ground on both sides of the knife. The ideal companion for quick slicing of fruit and vegetables.
The Miyabi collection of Japanese knives by Zwilling owes many of its characteristics to its place of production, Seki, Japan, a centre of samurai sword and knife production for centuries. In Zwilling's own production plant here, German engineering is combined with theGerman craftsmanship from Solingen and the best East Asian craftsmanship.
Anyone who not only uses knives for cutting, but also appreciates their beauty, will find in the Miyabi knife collectiona symbiosis of high-quality workmanship and artistic design that meets the highest demands.
The blades are sharpened using the traditional Honbazuke hand technique. This is a three-stage grinding, sharpening and polishing process along the entire length of the blade, which ensures an extremely sharp blade. Honbazuke sharpening is proven by hundreds of years of work by master knifemakers. The knife is first sharpened using a vertical and horizontal rotating whetstone and finally polished with a leather honing belt.
The blade is made of two pieces of ice-hardened FC61 steel, its hallmark is high hardness and resistance to stress. The shape of the blade is similar to that of the Katana-Edge, which is considered one of the hallmarks of master knives.
With the elegant octagonal shape of the handle, the Miyabi 4000FC series knife is not only stylishm Japanese knife, it is also very safe and comfortable to hold. The impregnated one-piece Pakka wood handle features a mosaic logo.
