Natural, simple, durable. Thanks to high-quality cast iron, Skeppshult products are made to last from generation to generation. The manufacturing process is simple, but at the same time demanding in terms of hand craftsmanship. Each cast iron product is cast in a unique sand mould, which is separated when it cools. This process makes each Skeppshult product unique. Simply an admirable piece of craftsmanship from the deep forests of Småland in the south of Sweden. Skeppshult has been making its products by hand since 1906 according to old methods and traditions. It is the only remaining foundry in Scandinavia that produces cast iron tableware.

The grinders are only suitable for dry spices. Wet spices and salt can potentially cause corrosion of the grinding surfaces. Clean with a brush and always keep the grinder dry.

The Skeppshult cast iron dry spice grinder is comfortable to hold in the hand thanks to its round base and the weight of the material. The grinder consists of two parts with grooved bottom - a grinding vessel with grooved bottom inside and a storage vessel with grooved bottom outside. These two vessels, by simply turning them against each other, grind and crush herbs and spices gently and evenly. The storage container keeps the spices and herbs fresh after grinding and is sealed with an attractive cork lid.
