Zwilling Miyabi 7000 D Kudamono knife, 9 cm
The Japanese Miyabi 7000 D knives invite you to explore the traditional Asian art of knifemaking. Beauty and sharpness unite every kitchen knife in the Miyabi 7000 D series, including the Kudamono knife, with a blade length of 9 cm. The Kudamono is a classic fruit knife. It is perfect for peeling and slicing fruit and vegetables or for decorating and carving.
The symmetrical blade is sharpened using the traditional Honbazuke hand technique. This is a three-stage grinding, sharpening and polishing process along the entire length of the blade, which ensures an extremely sharp katana-type blade.
The core of these knives is made of fine carbide steel. This core is wrapped with 65 layers of steel to create a unique Damascene design. Special Japanese CMV60 steel enriched with cobalt, molybdenum and vanadium for increased blade hardness and durability. The high carbon content gives the knife extreme hardness - approximately 61 Rockwell degrees, for unsurpassed and long-lasting sharpness.
Theergonomic handle made of durable and tough micarta - a layered resin and flax fiber blend - is low maintenance. The combination of wood-textured micarta and polished stainless steel elements is truly unique. The handle features a unique Miyabi logo on the metal base.
