Before first use, the Skeppshult pots and pans set should be rinsed briefly with hot water. After each use, wash with lukewarm water and dry thoroughly. Resistant food residues can be removed with a sponge. The use of detergent is not recommended as it damages the fat layer, which is important for the special baking properties. Never put a set of Skeppshult pots and pans in the dishwasher, the cast iron will rust. Skeppshult cast iron pots and pans are not suitable for storing food.
