Nordic Ware baking tray with rack, 38 x 29 x 3 cm
Medium-deep, smaller baking tray with a practical rack. The grid allows perfect air circulation under the food being prepared, whether it's jerky, French fries, chicken wings or drumsticks, preparing crispy bacon or crucibles. When roasting meat, the fat drips into the baking tray with the bottom adjusted so that everything stays nicely in the middle and doesn't burn in the corners. The baking tray is also suitable for smaller portions, so you can also use it as a single for preparing sweet and savoury treats in exactly the quantity you need.

Maintenance instructions
- Wash by hand with warm soapy water using a sponge before first use and after each subsequent use.
- Use in an oven heated to a maximum of 200°C.
- We recommend using nylon, wooden or silicone tools and cleaning aids. Metal tools and scouring pads will scratch the aluminium sheet (but will not affect its baking properties).
- The manufacturer does not recommend washing in a dishwasher because the detergents usually used in dishwashers discolour the baking sheet. This discolouration is a cosmetic defect and does not affect the baking properties or hygiene.
- The baking tray can be used with baking paper, silicone baking mats and alsocan be greased in the traditional way, using butter or other baking fats, or dusted with flour. When preparing savoury foods such as vegetables, table oil or butter works well.
- Aluminum reacts with the acid contained in foods such as vinegar or tomatoes. These foods can cause darkening of the tin, small dents in it and corrosion with prolonged contact.
Do you know how to make perfectly crispy bacon like you've never tasted before?
- Preheat the oven to 200°C and place the baking tray and rack in the centre of the oven.
- Arrange the bacon slices on the rack so that they are very close to each other but do not overlap.
- To make the bacon juicy, bake for 10-12 minutes and crispy bacon for 15-17 minutes. However, watch it carefully so that you don't overcook it.
- Once your bacon looks the way you imagined, take it out immediately and serve.
The human touch
Nordic Ware's beautiful cake moulds and other products are made with visible care . care , thanks to the fact that the production process also involves hand-working. Nordic Ware has been perfecting the process of creating unique bundt cakes for over 70 years, so that the moulds are not only unique but also perfectly functional.
Material
The aluminium used to make the moulds is first melted at a temperature of 650°C and thenthen flows as a liquid into a holding chamber where a pressure arm pushes the liquid aluminium into the mould. This process has to be fast because it only takes a few seconds for the aluminium to solidify. The mould is then opened and the very hot but solid aluminium mould can be removed. Aluminium is very malleable, so Nordic Ware moulds can be shaped to the smallest detail.
Surface
Once the mould has been cast into shape, it still has a long way to go, the next step is to trim the excess aluminium around the perimeter of the mould. The mould is then sent for further processing, where it goes through a series of finishing processes, includingvibratory deburring, corrosion protection spraying and surface roughening. The mould is then thoroughly washed, sprayed with a non-stick surface coating and cured using a PFOA-free resin .
The American brand Nordic Ware began its history in 1946 when the company was founded by David Dalquist, a metallurgical engineer with Swedish roots, and his wife Dorothy. However, it wasn't until 1950 that the company came to the attention of customers when a group of housewives visited David and asked him to create the classic cake mould they knew from their European homelands. David granted their request and created the world famous Bundt, the patented name for the bundt cake mould. The next twist came in 1966. A prestigious baking competition (the Pillsbury Bake-Off) was held in Houston, USA, where contestant Ella Helfrich placed 2nd. With a Nordic Ware mould with a hole in the middle, she baked the now iconic Fudge Tunnel recipe, which guaranteed fame not only for her but also for the Nordic Ware brand, which became an overnight hit.
Today, nearly 70 million households have a Nordic Ware mold , and that number is still growing. The company is headquartered in Minneapolis, Minnesota, where it also has a development centre. In fact, the Nordic Ware brand is constantly renewing its product range with new shapes and seasonal moulds. When a mould is designed, a 3D model is first printed and then production begins. Everything from the creation to the dispatch of the product in one place.
